1. Booking and Confirmation
All reservations shall be deemed confirmed only upon the successful receipt of the applicable booking amount by Hammock Hostel through the accepted payment channels.
By making a reservation, the guest acknowledges and agrees that Hammock Hostel may require full advance payment of the booking amount in order to secure and guarantee the reservation. In the absence of such payment, the hostel reserves the right to decline, cancel, or release the reservation without any liability. Payments for reservations may be made through such payment methods as may be made available by Hammock Hostel from time to time, including but not limited to debit cards, credit cards, Unified Payments Interface (UPI), online payment gateways, or any other electronic or digital payment methods specified at the time of booking.
2. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellation requests must be submitted through the same platform or booking channel through which the reservation was originally made.
Subject to the terms herein, refunds shall be processed in accordance with the following timelines:
Where the cancellation request is made more than 3 days prior to the scheduled check-in date, the guest shall be entitled to a refund of one hundred percent (100%) of the booking amount, excluding any payment gateway or transaction charges.
Where the cancellation request is made within 3 days prior to the scheduled check-in date, the guest shall be charged one nights charge of the booking amount.
Where the cancellation request is 0 days prior to the scheduled check-in date, no refund shall be payable
3. No-Show Policy
If a guest fails to check in within twenty-four (24) hours of the scheduled check-in time without prior notification to Hammock Hostel, the reservation shall be deemed a “no-show.” In such circumstances, the booking shall be treated as cancelled and no refund shall be payable.
4. Early Check-Out
Where a guest voluntarily elects to check out and vacate the hostel prior to the scheduled check-out date of the booking, such departure shall be treated as an early check-out. In such circumstances, the remaining period of the booking shall be treated as unused accommodation and no refund shall be payable for the unused portion of the stay.
5. Third-Party Bookings
Where a reservation is made through any third-party platform, travel agency, or online booking portal, all cancellation requests, refund requests, or booking modifications must be processed directly through the respective platform in accordance with the policies applicable to such platform.
Hammock Hostel shall not be responsible for processing or administering refunds for bookings made through third-party platforms, and such matters shall remain subject to the terms and conditions of the respective booking provider.
6. Payment Gateway Charges
Any payment gateway charges or processing fees incurred at the time of booking are non-refundable.
7. Cancellation by Hostel
In the event Hammock Hostel is unable to honour a confirmed reservation due to operational, technical, or unforeseen circumstances beyond its reasonable control, the guest shall be entitled to a full refund of the booking amount paid for such reservation.
Such refund shall constitute the guest’s sole and final remedy, and Hammock Hostel shall not be liable for any additional costs, losses, or damages incurred by the guest arising from such cancellation.
8. Policy Changes
Hammock Hostel reserves the right to amend, modify, or update this Booking and Refund Policy from time to time at its discretion. Any such changes shall become effective upon publication on the hostel’s website or other official communication channels, and guests are encouraged to review the policy periodically.
Bookings made after the effective date of such changes shall be governed by the revised policy.
